Below is a summary of the video above. I’ve listed the key actionable points about how to boost your immune system and never get sick.
As mentioned in the video, if you’re a man with low testosterone, you need to increase it because high testosterone = a strong immune system.
I’ve got lots of “testosterone boosting” articles/videos if you’re interested.
Or if you want faster results with less effort, you can take specific testosterone-boosting herbs.
Lifestyle
Lifestyle improvements can be the most challenging at times, as they often require changes to daily habits. Try to do as many of these as you can.
Eat a healthy, natural diet
You already know what this is. Fewer packaging and labels, the better.
Eat foods your great-grandmother would have eaten.
Stay hydrated
Drink plenty of water. Not juice, soda, energy drinks, etc. Coffee doesn’t replace water.
Tea is okay.
Exercise daily
Even if it’s just walking every morning or taking a 10-15 minute walk after a meal.
Ideally, you would also lift weights or do resistance exercise to build muscle, 2-4x a week. Yes, more muscle = stronger immune system.
Reduce stress
There are stressors you can’t control, so don’t waste your time on such things.
Reduce negative media & people. They only drain you and increase your cortisol levels.
Try to focus on what is RIGHT, rather than what is WRONG in life.
Reducing stress is difficult, I know. That’s why I also take herbs that lower stress & cortisol.
Improve sleep
Sleep is vital for a healthy & strong immune system.
- Don’t ingest caffeine past noon or 2 pm.
- Have the same sleep schedule every night.
- Go to bed earlier.
- Keep your room dark, cool and noise-free. I wear earplugs and eye shades.
- Take specific herbs that help you fall asleep faster & stay asleep longer.
Gut Health
Next, you want to improve your gut health by increasing healthy bacteria.
Probiotics Pills
You can take probiotic pills. If you do that, you should switch them every month from one brand to the next.
Each will give you different strains of healthy bacteria.
Natural Probiotics
Or, you can take Natural probiotics or foods with probiotics, such as yogurt or sauerkraut.
This is what I do because I find it more beneficial and more effective. And it’s also cheaper.
Of course, it’s not as convenient as taking a probiotic pill
Important Supplements
The next thing I found to be very effective is to take specific supplements.
Vitamin C
I think vitamin C is super important. I suggest at least 1,000 to 3,000 mg daily, spread over the course of the day, taken with food.
I personally take 3,000 daily, and if I feel “off”, I’ll increase it to 5,000 mg daily.
Any vitamin C brand/company is fine – it’s all the same. Unless your stomach is sensitive, then you’d get buffered Vitamin C.
NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine)
NAC is great because it helps increase glutathione, which boosts your immune system. It’s also great for healthy liver and kidney function.
I suggest 500-1,000 mg daily. I take 1,000 mg daily myself. If I feel I might be getting sick, I’ll double it to 2,000 mg.
Any company/brand will do, it’s a simple supplement.
Do NOT take oral glutathione supplements because they don’t get absorbed in the body.
Vitamin D3 + K2
Lastly and most importantly, take vitamin D3 + K2. Most people are either deficient or have sub-optimal levels.
Vitamin D is technically not a vitamin; it’s a HORMONE. That’s how powerful it is.
I suggest most people take D3 at 5,000 units (125 mcg) + 50 mcg of K2 daily. I take double this dose.
And when I feel I might be getting sick, I’ll take 20,000 units for a week. It works like magic.
NOTE: When taking vitamin D3 + K2, the best form is plant-based, micro-encapsulated. It’s the most active, absorbable & bioavailable form. I use Perfect D3+K2
Other Options
There are other supplements, such as echinacea or specific mushrooms, and so forth. But I wanted to give you the most powerful ones that also have lots of other health benefits.
The above should be taken year-round.
And if you’re a man, don’t forget to maximize your testosterone levels to maximize your immune system.
