Today I’m going to talk about how you can get taller.
I’ve made videos about this before, but today it’s 2026, and I bring this up because just in the past month, I’ve had two separate people ask how they can get taller. One of them is a 10-year-old, and the other is an 18-year-old.
Obviously, it’s a lot harder when you’re 18, but it got me thinking…
Why Are People Taller Today?
When I go on vacations to older civilizations outside the U.S., I notice how everything is smaller—the doorways, the spaces, especially in places like the pyramids.
Being 6’3”, I realized how much shorter people were back then.
So why are people, especially in the U.S., so much taller today?
A lot of it comes down to food and nourishment.
When people from countries like Japan or China move to the U.S., their children often grow significantly taller than them.
That’s not just genetics—it’s about environment, diet, and overall nourishment.
The Role of Diet in Height
Many kids these days don’t eat well.
They eat a lot of processed foods, sugars, and cereals in the morning with little to no solid protein.
Their diets lack healthy fats (like omega-3s) and are high in omega-6s and processed oils. Plus, there are not enough fruits and vegetables that provide essential nutrients for growth.
Just like a bodybuilder needs extra calories and nutrients to build muscle, a growing child needs fuel and quality nutrients to grow taller. That means:
- High-quality protein and amino acids
- Vitamins and minerals
It’s not just about eating more—it’s about eating better.
A lot of kids are overeating but still malnourished, leading to fat gain rather than height gain. And more fat can increase estrogen levels, which may suppress height growth.
The Hidden Problems: Insulin & Activity Levels
Another major issue is insulin resistance.
Many kids today are pre-diabetic or diabetic, which was rare 30–40 years ago. Poor insulin sensitivity lowers growth hormone and IGF levels, both of which are essential for growth.
Additionally, kids aren’t moving enough.
They’re indoors all day, not getting enough sunlight, which means they’re deficient in Vitamin D.
Movement helps your body absorb nutrients more efficiently.
Physical inactivity, poor sun exposure, and a sedentary lifestyle all impact growth potential negatively.
The Modern Growth Problem
Kids today are often doing all the wrong things: poor diets, little to no exercise, and low sun exposure.
This prevents them from maximizing their growth potential.
Compare this to immigrant families where the next generation, with better food and lifestyle, often grows taller than their parents.
Free Guide: How to Get Taller
Because of all this, I’m currently putting together a free guide on how to improve your height. It will cover:
- What foods to eat and avoid
- Which nutrients, vitamins, and minerals are essential
- How to optimize your hormones for growth
This will help you maximize your genetic height potential, especially if you’re still growing. The guide will be available soon.
Final Thoughts
Don’t forget to watch the other articles I’ve linked and take a look at the guide when it’s released.
I hope this helps you or someone you care about who wants to get taller naturally and safely.
